Two years ago, in 2013, our first product, iblazr LED flash, journey has began – the idea of a portable flashlight for a smartphone photography appears. And we accepted the challenge. Many hours of brainstorming were spent, we were working about a 16 hours a day, endless tests were done and, finally, we had produced the first prototype. And then the preparation for a crowd-funding campaign on Kickstarter began. Shooting the video, different kinds of registrations, worries and hopes. And then start. Within the first week we raised almost the whole goal sum, have gathered numerous publications from respectable media, that gave us an understanding that we have solved the `lightless`- problem on the market, that there is a demand in our product, people needed it, so we were on the right way.
iblazr was the first portable flash on the market, furthermore, that is fully synchronized with smartphones and tablets. No one ever done this before. The product was even named as The Most Disruptive Tech at Consumer Electronics Show at Las Vegas in 2014.
Since launching iblazr, more than 20,000 users in 195 countries snapped over 150,000 photos with the help of our flash. iblazr is currently available in more than 45 countries, in hundred of shops, including Apple Stores and Best Buy, and online.
In the summer of 2015 with the support of our Kickstarter backers and customers we raised three times more of the required goal for the second time already to create the The Worlds Most Ultimate Wireless Flash for iPhone, iPad, Androids and Digital Cameras – the iblazr 2, the iblazr new generation device.
Today every iblazr user is an essential part of our team, project and history.
Mobile photography is spreading around the world and we strive to make it brighter by bringing light into the most hidden corners of your photography experiments. We are constantly working on the new products, so stay tuned and may light be with you!
iblazr original was first and one-of-a-kind multifunctional portable flash with 4 LEDs that can be synced with any iOS, Android or Windows Phone smartphones and tablets. It was started from the idea and became reality thanks to a crowd-funding campaign on Kickstarter, where the project has raised a three times more than required $58,000 goal – 2633 Backers funded a project for $156,789. We produced and shipped all the rewards on time, which is very unique, only a small percentage of crowdfunding projects can reach this point on time!
iblazr original is working via 3,5 jack, however also allows to use it in a Constant light mode, which is very useful to choose the right angle for your light and shoot the perfect video in low-light (for example, regular flash of a smartphone is not working in a Constant light mode at all).
We created the new iblazr 2 trying to satisfy all our customers feedback and wishes. We`re not only optimized the physical design of the device but also made significant improvements to its electronic components. The result is an iblazr with more functions that remains as easy to use as it was before:
– iblazr 2 is the only flash that works with native camera apps on iOS and Android device, both smartphones and tablets. Furthermore it can work with almost EVERY photo app on the market.
– with the help of a sensory panel on the back of the housing user can change the color temperature from Warm to Cold (3200K to 5600K) with one move. This flexibility allows to shoot photos that look more natural, professional and creative.
– iblazr 2 uses Bluetooth 4.0 Low Energy technology which makes it wireless, it works with a range of up to 80 feet (25 meters) from your smartphone device.
– works with DSLR, lomography and analogue cameras thanks to a cold shoe mount.
And finally, we created the Shotlight app – a brand new way to take stunning pictures! We knew that a brilliant, new hardware solution could compromise software improvements. This prompted us to invent the alternative camera app that allows users to make adjustments manually in real-time.
Most photo apps provide plenty of post-photography filters that might improve the look of pictures, but sacrifice their quality in the process. Our team decided to go in a different direction by offering a new and innovative way to improve pictures before they are even snapped. By taping on the Shotlight display you will gain access to every manual parameter you need to take one perfect shot after another. Now you can choose the lowest ISO and the right exposure so every picture you take will appear not as your smartphone sees the world, but as you see the world.
This same manual flexibility applies when shooting in video mode. For example, you can adjust your camera focus while recording a classic trick cinematographers employ to shoot the movies you see at the cinema.
